Location: Webster Arboretum – Rotary Grove
 
Plans for the Webster Grove
  • Front paw paw has died and needs to be replanted as it is a dedicated tree
  • Mark Yaeger will visit our meeting in 2 weeks to discuss the water situation
  • For any tree, any branch that hits Brian’s head need to be trimmed back
  • 3 dead spruces need to be removed
  • Need to clean up the berm
  • Bridge building process needs to be thought out carefully; goal is for a master plan where we have a bridge and a paver walkway to increase accessibility
  • Pathway needs to be cleared and ultimately would prefer pavers
  • Arbor needs to be spruced up as it is need of a clean up
  • Would love to be able to add a pavilion in the future to make it a picnic spot for Rotary family and friends
  • We bought 24 trees for dedication and believe 15 or 16 have been used
  • Looking at an October date for clean up
 
Charities Dinner
  • Officially, moved to May 5, 2017 with a Cinco de Mayo theme
 
Garlic Festival
  • Rich reported that over 2,600 people attended the festival
  • Webster Recreation Center was a great venue
  • Rotary made $130 from the sale of coffee and doughnuts
  • Vendors suggested having just one entrance
  • We suggested that we need a better more visible location in the festival
 
Paul Harris Fellow
  • We won a Paul Harris Fellow at the District Golf Tournament
  • We also need to plan a date to award Kim Muth her award before she gives birth
 
Pancake Breakfast
  • Dennis will have flyers & tickets by our next meeting
 
50/50
  • Brian Winslow wins 50/50 and pulls the 8 of Spades
 
Happy Dollars - $38
  • Herb, Robyn, Marlene, Ray, Dennis, Tom – Great Garlic Festival
  • Donna – for her SU pedicure
  • Ross – for 2 grandchildren baptized
  • Rich – for the volunteers who worked at the festival
  • Don – for Bob donating him $1
  • Brian – for the Garlic Festival, grandchildren baptized, clean colonoscopy, and a productive Board of Director’s meeting
  • Joe – for the Garlic Festival and first trip to the Grove
