Brian’s First Official Meeting!
  • Next week’s meeting will be on Thursday 7/28 @ 6:30 at a place to be determined.  The location will be sent out this week.  The meeting will be a club assembly where we will review all current projects and job functions.
  • Brian would like to have dinner meetings as has been tradition and we will work on ways to make that happen
  • Dues for 2016-2017 will be $155.  Please submit payment to John or Herb.
  • This is the 100th year of the Foundation.  Our goal is to have each member contribute $100 as we did last year!  Bob has sent out bills for this.  Please submit your contributions to Bob or Herb.  $100 by each member provides us a banner for our flag.  Last year, the Foundation raised over $269M.
  • Club 50/50 – Still need 42 tickets returned
  • Brian met with Liz, Donna, and George at the Arboretum.  There is a tremendous amount of clean up and dead trees to take care of.  Some of those trees are dedicated trees that need to be cleaned up and possibly replaced.  Goal is to replace any dead trees with trees that are native to these weather conditions.  Herb has a list of the dedicated trees.  The arbor needs to be repaired.  We may be looking for grants to do additional work such as building a bridge to improve handicap accessibility.  We need to work on design work and may ask the Boy/Eagle Scouts for help.  Rich will ask Mark Yeager for drawings of the lay out of the Arboretum.
  • Bill raised a toast to the 70th anniversary of Webster Rotary!

  • Herb wins the 50/50 but pulls the jack of hearts.
